Meet Principal Lee

Annessia Lee - Principal

Wildcat Families,

I am honored to introduce myself as the new principal of Weddington Hills Elementary IB World School.  I am so excited to join the Wildcat family and looking forward to a wonderful school year!  At Weddington Hills, we will always PUT STUDENTS FIRST and strive for EXCELLENCE!

This year marks my 10th year in Cabarrus County Schools.  During this time I have been an elementary classroom teacher working my way into my leadership journey as a Behavior Coach, Dean of Students, and Assistant Principal. I have served as an administrator at Odell Primary and Concord Middle School. I am truly blessed to be the wife of Brooks and a mother to our son Tristan who is 3 years old and our daughter Emeri who is 2 years old.  We love spending time together having dance parties, going to the park, traveling, and just enjoying one another.

As principal, I will work collaboratively with teachers and staff each day and visit with students as I learn the ins and outs of what makes Weddington Hills Elementary a special place. I am delighted to have the chance to build relationships with the incredibly supportive families of WHES as well as continue to foster community partnerships. I will also work diligently with all staff to promote valuable instruction and maintain awareness of the social and emotional needs of our student body.

Please know that my door is always open to you. I look forward to meeting each of you starting at Open House and continuing our partnership throughout the school year.  I welcome your conversations and input throughout this year, keeping our students the priority of our work.  I have no doubt that we will have a successful 2023-2024 school year.
