Annessia Lee - Principal
It is an incredible honor to serve as the proud principal of Weddington Hills Elementary School. As a Cabarrus County native, I am proud to serve the community that helped shape me.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and a Master of Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, followed by a Master of Educational Leadership from Queens University of Charlotte. This school year marks my 16th year in education and my 13th year serving Cabarrus County Schools.
Throughout my career, I have served as an elementary classroom teacher, Behavior Coach, Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, and now Principal. These experiences have strengthened my passion for building relationships, supporting educators, and helping every student succeed.
Outside of school, I am blessed to be the wife of my husband, Brooks, and the proud mother of our son, Tristan, and daughter, Emeri. We enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, and making memories together.
At Weddington Hills, we believe in Growing Greatness in every student, every staff member, and every family. I look forward to partnering with our families and community to ensure every child has an exceptional educational experience. I welcome your ideas, conversations, and partnership as we make this another outstanding year at Weddington Hills Elementary School.

Cathryn Morse, AP
I am honored to continue serving the Weddington Hills Elementary School community as an Assistant Principal. The 2026–2027 school year will mark my fourth year at Weddington Hills and my 28th year in education.
I began my career in education in 1999 after marrying my husband and moving to Cabarrus County. We have two daughters: Leah, a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina, and Emma, a senior at Hickory Ridge High School.
I earned an associate degree from SUNY Alfred State College of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania. Before entering school administration, I taught at Bethel, Carl A. Furr, and Patriots STEM elementary schools. In 2019, I was awarded a North Carolina Principal Fellowship and earned my Master of School Administration from UNC Charlotte. I joined Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in 2022 as Dean of Students at Mint Hill Middle School before joining the Weddington Hills administrative team in 2023.
I look forward to another wonderful year of supporting our students, staff, families, and community.

Kaylee Price, AP
I am truly grateful to be continuing as one of the APs at Weddington Hills Elementary School. This will be my third year at WHES, fifth year in Cabarrus County.
Originally from New York, I obtained my Bachelor of Arts Degree from St. John Fisher College. In 2013, I moved to New Bern, NC, where I started my journey in public education.
I obtained my Masters Degree in Special Education from Appalachian State University while I started my teaching career in Craven County. I was a special education teacher for several years before transitioning into general education. Finding my passion as an advocate for students and families, I decided to go back to school for School Administration through Western Carolina University.
I began my journey in school administration in 2021 as the assistant principal in Craven County. After meeting my husband, we moved to the Charlotte area and I joined the Cabarrus County Schools family as an assistant principal at Hickory Ridge Elementary School.
I am married to my wonderful husband, Tim, who is also an educator in Cabarrus County. We have two children, Brynlee & Lincoln, and two fur babies - Tony and Bennett. In my free time, I love to read, craft, go to the beach, and enjoy all the family time I can!
I look forward to another amazing year with the Wildcat family and can’t wait to see what Greatness we Grow this year!
